Contest Rules

1)
The aim is the realization of a short animation based on the graphic novel wich gives his title to this contest.

Choose one or more scenes from the graphic novel.
-> FOREIGN ANIMATORS: the graphic novel is in Italian language only, but don’t worry: you can choose a lot of single scenes wich are understandable in any country. Please read “F.A.Q.” in the following pages for more details.

Create your own animated version of those scenes, taking care in keeping the main characters identity.
4)
The lenght of the animation has to be at least 40 seconds. If you need to insert opening or ending titles, please don’t count them in the total timing. Example: 5 seconds opening titles + 40 seconds animation + 10 seconds ending titles = 55 seconds total.
4a) If opening and ending titles are strictly part of the animation, you can skip over rule (4). Fore example: music-videoclip kind, movie trailer kind, etc.
4b) Please insert after the ending of the short: “Lambrusco & Cappuccino © Baricordi/Liani/Kappa Edizioni”
5)
Record your short animation on CD. Please record it in two different video-player formats to prevent visualization problems.
6)
The winner will receive 400 euro, and his animation will be show at “I CASTELLI ANIMATI 2007” international animated film festival:

In case of ex aequo, the prize will be splitted in two half among the two winners.

F.A.Q.:
- is allowed use any animation technique (more techniques in the same short too).
- are allowed both colour or black/white animations.
- is allowed to draw with your own style, but please remembrer rule number (3).
- is allowed to choose the style of the short movie: videoclip, movie trailer, TV show opening titles (or more).
- is allowed to send how many animations you can realize.
- is allowed to base the animation upon one, two, three or four chapters of the graphic novel.
- is allowed to send more animations in the same package.
- is allowed to realize the animation in team with other peoples.
- foreign animators are welcome.
